Local Practice is an architecture-research team, focuses on community construction works, specialized in capacity-building for sustainable development, through co-building with locals. Local Practice executes community projects in rural China, Hong Kong and Bangladesh, through obtaining funding and collaborating with NGOs, Community Workers, Universities, Research Centers, Charitable Foundations and Public/Private Research Fund. Local Practice research team is based in the Education Base in Zhoushan Village, Henan Province, China; led by Kuo Jze Yi, assistant professor at the Department of Architecture, The University of Hong Kong.
